So Far, they've signed:

WR Pierre Garcon - good hands, used to have great speed, knows Shanahan's system

QB Brian Hoyer - had a good year with Houston, knows Shanahan's system

FB Kyle Juszczyk - he's young, good outlet receiver, can play tight end

WR Marquise Goodwin - young and fast

OLB Malcolm Smith - hated him with the Seahawks, Raiders didn't seem interested in keeping him

K Robbie Gould - I don't get too excited about kickers, I think he's blown a couple of big ones

TE Logan Paulsen - don't know much about him

WR - Aldrick Robinson - young and fast

They let go Torrey Smith, and weren't going to re-sign Kaepernick anyway, but he opted out

I think they're already considerably better than last year

Two free agents is all 49ers signed last year so this year seems like a bonanza of free agents. Plus they can't get any worse can they? With good draft picks based on needs at key positions instead of ol Balke taking players with ACL injuries and no QB in 2016 and only one WR in last years' draft, think 2017 is shaping up to be more competitive  year without all the off field drama that seemed to suck any life left in the Niners organization.  Finally York is staying out of the way and opening up his pocketbook.  GO Niners

Between Shanahan and Lynch, I feel pretty good that they can build something good, and relatively quickly. I really like Lynch. Now if Jed can just stay out of the way and keep prices down, we'll be OK.   :football:

I'm thinking they will rise above suckage. Can't get much worse than last season

Many teams *suck*. There are only a certain number of good QB's to go around. And it all starts with the QB.  :football:   :footballhelmet:
