On Folsom Road coming from the freeway to the outlets, there is a welcome-to-town sign. This sign has an added feature, installed in November or so - a too-thin-to-live socialite shopper in a red dress and Santa hat.

She's still there. It's April.

There was one of these on Greenback too but I haven't looked out for it and don't drive past it every day.

the chamber, I believe, manages that sign. I know it costs to have the sign guy come and redo the sign. Maybe they're waiting for the next event sign (like the rodeo, I think, would be next) to go up to replace what's there. I know they put the guitars up before Folsom Live.
Knowing the past helps deciphering the future.

"too-thin-to-live" :lmaosmiley:

Maybe they are just waiting for Christmas to come around again kind of like
I do with Daylight Savings Time and my car clock. I just mentally add an hour until October.

Darth Lefty, it looks like they heard you and switched out the sign for the upcoming rodeo.

They are pretty good about updating the Greenback one.

A few weeks after I originally posted this, they painted out the Santa hats, leaving a lot of negative space above her to the left.

She's gone now on Greenback too.

I thought they left the rodeo signs up year round in an effort to get nonlocals to remember something about Folsom other than the Johnny Cash / prison thing.
