Year of the woman??!!

"At least 96 women running for the House have won their races, shattering the previous record of 84 women in the House. Eighty-three of the women who won were Democrats."

A record number of women ran for Congress this cycle and a record number won and will be seated next year. More women ran for seats up and down the ballot this year than ever before, including 237 women who ran for House seats and 23 for the Senate.

Nancy Pelosi won her re-elected with a WHOPPING 85% of votes cast.      :lmaosmiley:    :SCHWEEEET:

The poll mentioned above, by Fox New, no less, is a nationwide rating which includes

opinions from the many Republicans in other states.

To say she is unpopular is a distortion.                 :KOOLAID:

See how easy it is to manipulate the "facts!"                     :newyear:

See how easy some people are fooled!??   :WEDGIE:

Yawn. You identity politics people wear me out. My daughter said one of her classmates told her he voted for no "white men" (and he is a white man) regardless of party and instead based his vote on whether they were "of color" or a woman.  I weep for the nation that progressives have so screwed up our youth. Whatever happened to content of character, depth of conviction, political worldview and reputation for integrity being the basis for votes? Nope, progressives have taught our children that superficial bull s---e like color of skin or gender is what is important.

This kind of crap really pisses me off.

As for Pelosi, she is a joke and senile old pol. The REASON she won, is that so many of us conservatives in CA (about 40% of the state) voted for the lesser of two evils. I suppressed my gag reflex and voted for her. What was my alternative? An even farther left ideologue?

So, your attitude and state of mind is determined by what a little school boy told your daughter?

"Little school boy?" You mean a supposed adult able to drink, vote and help set policy? Yeah. It pisses me off that there is such ignorance WHICH IS PROMOTED BY THE LEFTISTS, and reinforced by the liberal academics (but I repeat myself).

It pisses me off in the same way as her Spanish teacher spending a whole class preaching how great socialism is, or her english teacher having her write an essay on the Communist Manifesto....no balancing paper on the Federalist Papers.

She is a great kid. Very open minded. She is appalled at how the professors AND the parroting students behave on her campus.

Think it's bad on Ca campuses? You are not imagining things....

Only small minds care what sex or race gets elected...

Nah!

Not when the most powerful institution is overwhelmingly old, angry white dudes.

It'll be good to have a nurturing touch where human values* can be added to the political calculus,

and not just military power and profit margins.  :whupaaa:

Funny that all the "women" you celebrate Tio Vinny have large D's after their names..............   All liberals, all progressives, all democrats....

Young Kim...........  Look her up.   Never even saw a national news story about her.  She does have a fault though, she has a large "R" after her name.

YEAR OF THE OBESE WOMAN?: Does anyone seriously think Georgia would elect this kind of hateful, racist garbage?? Ugh. Hell no. Gross!! Her whole campaign was based on race. Serious election fraud going on. I want to see some people in FL, AZ, and GA in handcuffs.

Looks like GOP gerrymandering finally backfired.
They carved up districts so that moderate suburban Republicans were teamed with very conservative

rural districts. They didn't count on the effects of Trumps so very obvious hatred of women.
Turns out suburban women, particularly college educated women, turned against the intense misogyny

from the Trump administration.

This bodes well for Democrats and makes future wins much more likely.
