Maybe the trailer is going to be used to haul away that fence that is about to fall down. Is that their friggin RV camper too? Are these people from Oklahoma or what?

Yes. Both trailers are theirs.

You're right....not ALL renters are bad.

Wern't we all renters at one time or another?
But what if the renters were gnomes? Would you be ok with that?
Probably want him and his familly to stand in your garden or something...

I was going to say, I don't think we have ever rented... but that is not true.

We rented for 4 or so months when we sold our 1st house, and were moving to Folsom. We were not dumb enough to buy before selling, like I have seen some people do and get screwed!

Call them in to the city asap - thats ignorant and rude twords you & other neighbors to turn the street into a friggin' trailer storage lot

or walk on over, knock on their door and suggest to them that they get a storage place to store all their trailers and crap

I have to pay 80 bucks a month to store my boat in storage because we're not allowed to leave them in the street or driveways where I live.. I'd be extremely pissed at the ignorant neighbor who's leaving not 1, not 2 but 3 trailers in the street for that long

Alright any one know what other options I have besides code enforcement? These people are playing the system. They know when code enforcement work hours are and abuses the time they aren't working.

it'd probably be really hard for them to sneak around and move the trailers at night...... if the tires are all deflated

not sure how that could happen ... whistle.gif

do you happen to have one of these laying around the garage?

Get a valve stem core remover and remove all the valve stem cores from the tires. That way all the trailer tires are flat and they won't be able to move them. Then call code enforcement and tell them the trailers have been sitting for so long that all the tires are flat.

Unless the guy figures out he has no valve cores he won't be able to fill the tires with air and move the trailers and they will be there for code enforcement to see.

Chris that code enforcement thing really does suck big time. I have talked to the guy and basically after he towed our boat away (he put the tag he says on the tongue of the trailer-we never saw it) and mind you our boat was on the street for about 48hrs a lot of water had collected in it over a winter (2 years ago) and while at work he towed us, my dad got here as he was doing it with his truck and offered to take care of it the guy was d*ck and said sorry.

We got it out of impound $250 which wasn't what upset us we had to pay it was our fault but his comment to me when I brought him pictures of neighbors boats and utility trailers not hooked to a truck he said "I don't see those I can see yours from a main street North Lexington... I see boats still to this day not hooked up to a truck some of them huge Yacht like things that are there for weeks. I wrote him a nasty gram and to this day just very careful not to let the boat be on the street for more than a day.

Maybe you could call code enforcement again and tell them they are playing the game, take pictures with a camera that shows the date and each day take a pic and take it to him. Not sure if that will help but its really not fair that people who do abuse the system get away with it. We just put it on the street once in awhile to drain water out of it after a day at the lake or long winter...
