If they provide a wanted service at the park, doesn't disrupt usage of the park, and it earns the city some additional money, I see nothing wrong with it. I don't see it being any different than if a private company opened a snack bar at the park.

SacKen, do you live in Orangevale?

Folsom. Not that it matters. Rather than post terse one-liners in multiple posts, why not actually make a case for why you hate the ORPD and disagree with their Final 9 Sports decision? Or were you just looking for a place to have a temper tantrum once in a while? That's fine, too. Just let me know so I stop responding. We get into the habit of discussing topics here on these interweb forums.

I lived in Orangevale growing up and my family still does. My hubby enjoyed using the Disc Frolf course. I guess my question is does this bother you and why? Why are you yelling at another poster?

I would have been intrested in attending but if it's gonna be anything like the attack method you have provided above, I wouldn't be willing to attend.

Hello Webmaster
Your question(s) should be directed to SacKen. This person started this fight by being critical of my one line posts. This person is/was rude and out of line for critizing me and my one line posts! I do not like being critized by a rude person(s) for doing nothing but posting one line posts. If a person has a question, ask the question, don't critize someone for their one line posts. All it took is for one rude person to ruin this experience.I have nothing more to say to SacKen!
Thank you for asking though.

Ken may have been requesting a little dialogue, that's all. Since this is a forum, we're here to discuss, even disagree at times...

DiscGolf, Welcome to the forum. The thing is, this is a discussion forum, and when you make a statement, it's important to give perspective. In other words, why are you posting that statement. To many of us, probably most, we've never been to the park, don't play disc golf but could probably guess what it is, and have never heard of Final 9 sports.

We don't know if you're complaining about it or bragging about it.

So, this thing has happened. Is it good or bad? What is Final 9? What will they use the park for? Is it open to the public? Will it still be a park? Is this an unusual move? How does this affect you?

No guarantee that people will react all warm and fuzzy, but at least they'll know the point you're trying to make.

Personally, I don't see a problem here assuming the business isn't charging people to use the frisbee golf course.

It looks like the business is a value-add: selling frisbees and other related items to help people enjoy the park more.

I'd rather have a private business who will try to run the business effectively than having tax-payers subsidizing it. Bonus if the business pays some sort of rent back to the community for the space.

I am sooooo done with this guy already....I would really like to get some background about this. I am not going to attend a special meeting. It would be like attending a French III college class final without even knowing any French....

Why can't you answer our questions so that we are informed? Not answering our questions, will not draw an audience to your meeting. It will just make us disinterested. If that is the conclusion you want, continue to post...."Come to the special meeting at 6:30 pm at 6826 Hazel Avenue on March 31, 2011 and find out for yourself!!!!!"
