SO vip and early tickets are sold out. I'm confused. Under VIP it includes music, wine holder, food from gas light and champagne. Don't the regular tickets include food and music?
These events seem like they are getting pretty pricey for what is, for all intents and purposes, a showcase for various vendors to introduce people to their products.
At this price point for regular tickets (45.00) I will drop at least a hundred dollars for 3 hours of tastings for my wife and I. OR, I could drive up the hill and get pretty much unlimited tastings and a nice dinner for same, OR, I could get two bottles of decent wine and an apps plate at many of the local establishments.
I don't know.... I used to really enjoy these things like the Mother's Day Art and Wine walk in EDH. Those tickets used to be 20.00. The festivals down on the river were 20-25, and even local (non Folsom) brews fests were in the 30 dollar range. I'm not cheap, but I do look for a good value. Just seems a little pricey to me. To be fair, I'm sure folks would have a good time if this is more in line with what they feel is reasonable for entertainment expense. Only 184 tickets left, so maybe I am the outlier...
Addendum: I also think the marketing on these generally suck. I want the website to tell me EXACTLY what is being offered. Which food vendors? What are they offering? Which wineries? What are they offering? What band/music? Etc, etc.
I hope I didn't come off as too negative. I DO appreciate you letting us know about events around town. Just was surprised at the cost.
