Well the original post is from a guy who works at Peet's Coffee and he told me while I was eating at Pullman he posted something on this forum. So he's real ;-) And I know I'm a real person, so I guess I can speak for the rest.... LOL.

okay, so we'll take off the peete's guy and look at the times these other first timers joined (not counting Pullman Kitchen)

leftcoaster: 11:11 am yesterday
chscheer16: 8:23 pm yesterday
fingledobe: 11:13 am today
summer220: 11:41 am today

you can speak for the rest, Summer?

I was out that way with a friend a few weekends ago and popped in to look at the menu. It was a Saturday, mid- to late morning, and no one was at the counter. We walked up and down the hall looking at other shops and I never saw anyone at the counter.

Yeah, the IP's are (mostly) different. I bet friends/family/coworkers, not blatant shills.

I stopped by today and Pullman Kitchen is not open for lunch during the week. It opens at 8AM on weekends and 4PM on weekdays.

Also, a new crepe place (Faith's Crepes), opened in the same building this past weekend. They are open daily from 8AM to 6PM.

Along with the existing Bay Gourmet Market (in the same building) that serves sandwiches, salads and deserts it makes a pretty good selection for lunch.

I don't blame them for trying to bring attention to Pullman Kitchen. I know its always had a good reputation. I feel badly for any of the businesses hanging on in the Quarry Pond. When the Pond first opened, it had a distinctly Granite Bay feeling, trying to emulate the Ferry Building in SF, but on a smaller scale. When the recession started, the writing was on the wall. Now Pizza Antiqua and the hot dog place are both gone and so are most of the little stores in the market hall. It's sad.

That said, Summer, tell us more about what we can get at Pullman Kitchen. Is there a place to sit down and eat? As I recall, it was mostly just take out and catering before. How much are the hamburgers, etc.? Tell us more!

I picked up menus from both Pullman Kitchen and Faith's Crepes today, but I don't know how to post them here. I can scan and PDF them, but then what do I do?

I tried to upload the menus as JPGs and it failed because the files were too big. Before I even started it said "Attachment space used 141.05K of 200K." Is that what it's supposed to say before I attach a file?

I tried to PM you for help Mylo, but your in box is full - you're a popular guy!

Thanks.

Or instead of the attach box, I recommend posting to Photobucket or Flickr or other online photo site then embed them as images (IMG) using the Insert Image file icon from the reply text editor like below.

The forum's attachment limit is very, very limited.

So, no breakfast/lunch during the week? I can't fathom how a place can stay in business being open only 19% of the time. And dinner ends by 6pm? Glad weekdays are 7pm, because I can't even make it there from work by 6pm.

I agree. Having great food, service and prices are only part of the battle. You've got to have a good location, and you've got to be open when people want to eat, and open often enough that you can sell enough to keep the doors open.

The restaurant biz is a tough one.

Kinda sounds like a catering business that has a little eatery on the side, as opposed to a restaurant that does a little catering on the side.

Was looking forward to trying the crabcake omelet today or tomorrow but after seeing only open on weekends and only a special from a limited menu, may not get an opportunity.
