Sacramento's Champagne King
Benjamin Norton Bugbey fell in love with the Folsom region when he came to California in 1849 for the Gold Rush. He would become Granite Township's first elected Constable. However, his lasting notoriety came from his Natoma Vineyard on the South Fork of the American River which produced award winning wines, brandies and champagnes. Learn about this colorful historical figure from local author and historian Kevin Knauss.
