My family is planning on going out for Thanksgiving dinner this year and we were wanting some recommendations. We were looking for something really in any area (Folsom, EDH, Roseville, Sac.). We have never dined out for Thanksgiving and price range would probably range up to about $30 per person (and we will have 2 kids, if that matters smile.gif). Thanks!!

I have had Thanksgiving dinner at Marie Callendars on Sunrise. The food was good too. Unfortunately nothing beats the taste of home cooking.

Scott's Seafood will be open Thanksgiving Day until 7 pm. On top of their usual fare, they'll be serving a traditional Thanksgiving dinner for $25.95/person.

http://www.local-res...09/Default.aspx has a list of restaurants that have T-Day dinner. Maybe it will help.

Might I suggest two slices of buttered toast, some pretzel sticks, a handful of popcorn, and a few jelly beans?

To my knowledge the Thanksgiving dinner is not buffet, but that can be confirmed with a phone call.

Scotts Thanksgiving wasn't Buffet for us... It was table service turkey, and quite good!

You are right, I just can't remember what the day was, perhaps Easter Sunday... I think that was it... Thanks for the clarification....

I might suggest the Delta King in Old Sac. Great location, very historical and the times I have been there the food and service was excellent !! 916-441-4440

I've never ordered one from Raley's but my parents have ordered one from their local grocery store in oregon that I will have to say was very delicious. If you like their rotisserie chicken, then I expect you will like their roasted turkey's.

And as far as the OP is concerned, I've never gone to a restaurant in the Greater Sacto area for Turkey dinner, for me, it has always been meeting bay area relatives 1/2 way in Stockton when I've done it. It's been years, but I do recall Marie Callendars did do a good job.
I would rather be Backpacking
