I guess we have to wait to see if there is a red or blue wave coming.  At least it won't be long now. :sun:

Thank God. I couldn't take much more of the stupid political adds.... unfortunately, the 2020 race starts tomorrow....Ugh!

I wish Donald would step down and Haley would get the nod. Now her I could be enthused about.

Looks like the Democrats have taken control of the House of Representatives!  :USA:    :wave2:

You can expect to see . . .

 - more of the lovely face of Nancy Pelosi! Yay!

 - Devin Nunez to fade into obscurity           :BOO:

 - Multiple investigations into Trump corruption   :fineprint:

 - Adam Schiff becomes the Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee  :SCHWEEEET:

Whoo-Hoo!
Maybe not an tsunami, but certainly a substantial Blue Wave!    :folsomlake:

Oh, think I'm in love!

BETTER TO LOSE THE HOUSE THAN THE SENATE!! What happened to the BIG BLUE WAVE?? We added to our Senate lead.. We still control Judges and Trump's Cabinet. The House is fairly irrelevant, in the big picture.. Oh, and we have Executive Orders!!! Pen and a phone?? Check! And as a consolation prize for us, you get Nancy *marbles in her mouth* Pill-osi. Congrats!!

It's enough.
Winning the House gives Democrats the power of subpoena.

Expect to see investigations into Trump nepotism, emoluments clause violations, tax returns,

just to mention a few.
The big win is with the House Intelligence Committee: Now Adam Schiff will be in charge,

Devin Nunes can crawl back under the rock he came from, and a real shedding of light

will occur on the cash flow from Russia to the Trump Crime Family.

I'm ashamed to be a Californian. People in other states count me among the idiots who voted higher gas tax for themselves.

I'm also counted among the idiots who voted for dummy-rats to run the state further into chaos with higher taxes, the high speed train for the elites and the tiny houses for the homeless.

California is positioning itself to be of only two classes...the low income and the elite. My husband and I have spoken many times of leaving California. The only reason we stay is because the kids are here and they have jobs they cannot leave, because they are vested in a retirement plan. But from what I hear, many others have left the state for more affordable living standards.

Now, for those of you who are so polite as to suggest we don't let the door hit us on our way out, I will say I hope you can swallow the bunch of crap you voted for. You are going to regret those gas taxes. They probably won't get any road and bridge repairs done for many, many years. And, there will, no doubt, be many excuses why they aren't being repaired in a timely manner, which the dummy-rat voters will, no doubt, believe. I'm thinking of how fast (not) the dam was repaired. It seems Californians pay far more and wait far longer for everything the government repairs. Plus it always cost double or triple what they said it would.

It's very sad that 85 year old Pill-loser only thinks of getting revenge at Trump, instead of spending those millions it will take, helping the poor, the homeless and the many other problems we face here. But those items seem to be the last things on her mind.

I think any intelligent person knows what the dummy-rat agenda is....tax more, spend more and gain all the power they can beg, borrow and steal.

Have a party and celebrate, dummy-rats! You've been had and are being taken to the cleaners!  :NEENER: :WEDGIE:  :CRAZYLOCO:

Well, I think people in glass houses, shouldn't be so anxious to throw rocks. When the dummy-rats mess with Trump, he'll mess back even harder. Get the popcorn and get ready to see the dummy-rats get taught a lesson! This should be a kick to watch!!!!  :lmaosmiley:

I'm awaiting the show. It had to come.        :drinks:

Anyone with a brain can see that this is the last-gasp effort of a despot

to hold on to power, when his actions constitute a clear obstruction of justice

violation.

I'll be sitting back enjoying the drama  (Yawn!) as the adults in the room      :beverage:

have to educate this amateur, installed Pee-Resident about the Constitution.

Too bad you're too much of a coward to address Rose's points, which are valid.

My Humble Opinion:

Republicans worship the god-almighty dollar over everything else.

You can see that in some of the posts right here!

Their main worry is "who's coming after my money?"

Democrats worship the quality and freedom of the human spirit.

We are happy to live in a state which has good schools, safe neighborhoods, job opportunities,

and cultural diversity. We don't mind paying reasonable taxes to secure those goals.

Even the most tight-fisted, fiscally conservative neo-con doesn't ask whether his child DESERVES

a college education. He knows the child (and the neighborhood) will benefit from a college degree,
"deserved" or not.
He pays the bills because there is a genuine love of family.

The tight-wad would even pay for the hospital costs of a beloved family member.

The only difference for Democrats is who they consider "family."   (Clue!)
It's the Christian thing to do.

Laughable BS. You need meds. Have you been too drunk to see all the Dem hate directed towards the GOP for the last 2 years?

Oh, and where was your blue wave?
