If you don't want to go straight to code enforcement, you can put a note on the vehicle that it is in violation of city ordinances.

Then, if they move it up on their grass, I think they'll be okay and in compliance with city codes. laugh.gif

What could possibly go wrong with too many trailers?

Simple -
Call Code enforcement - 355 7316 Pete Picardo - they will take care of it - call in a few days if they have not and remind Pete...

We have some new neighbors that think they own the street. This weekend I counted 3 trailers being stored in front of other peoples houses in the street. I really don't have a problem with this if they are just moving them around for the day or whatever. They are rather large. 2 of them are triple axle utility type trailers, while the third looks like a mobile meth lab. laugh.gif Is there a city ordinance about this?

Sounds like the people that used to rent the house next door to us, are now your new neighbors!!!

They were into hauling junk for people for a living and often left a big trailer out on the street, in front of their house. The wife allowed her little two year old two wander out into the street a few times and they had this younger man living with them that looked like a crack head. He dressed all in black, didn't seem to go to school or work, and had all kinds of tattoos and piercings.

Man, were we glad when they moved!!! Renters are bad news...I guess they got tired of us turning them in for code violations.

I was going to post the number for you to call, but somebody beat me to it.

Code enforcement is very polite about doing their work, so don't feel bad about getting them to go out and take care of the problem. No need to get in a possibly adversarial situation with renters/owners.

So have you called Code Enforcement yet? They won't fine them immediately, they will put a notice of when they will be fined if they don't move them.
I would rather be Backpacking

Years ago, when I was renting a room in town, I got a notice on one of my cars. Someone complained because it was always parked in the same spot and they thought it was a dead or abandoned vehicle. I talked to my landlord and she allowed me to park my station wagon on her driveway which solved the problem. At that time, I typically was riding my motorcycle to work and only used the car for grocery shopping or taking my dog somewhere.
