Going to Movies in the afternoon. Looking for a place that has good beer and we love hummus/spinach dip/chix wings....

Is The Beer Garden still open? It looks like their site is still up and it has all the appetizers you listed, is on the same side of the river as Sudwerks, and has an all-night Monday night happy hour, which would have been convenient for you since you posted this past the time when most places would have their happy hours.

I did not know that about Yelp, but I will tell you we did you an AC place that was rated terrific and they were con artists. So I do not know. But thank you and I will be sure to ook at the filtered comments!first of all, forget about yelp. they screen out good reviews to try to sell advertising to the poor businesses who get sucked into their vortex. if you have to go by yelp, be sure to read the "filtered" comments at the bottom of the page.
Hi, Century 14 on Iron Point...Which movie theatre? Century 14? Palladio? EDH? Other?

Hi, Century 14 on Iron Point...
Not too glamorous, but don't rule out Mark's Sports Bar in the same center as the theatre. I sure wouldn't want to drive hurriedly across town after a few drinks to catch a movie. Mark's has standard fried pub food, M-F Happy Hour 4-7, and an outdoor patio and 16 beers on tap.

There's also the option of Pronto's Pizza in that same lot too. Their lunch special (I've gotten it at night too) is a slice/salad/soda for $5, or 2 slices/soda for $5. They have 4 or 5 beers on tap, 1 or 2 are Italian beers. The atmosphere might not be what you are looking for, but if you just want a quick snack and a drink or two, it can satisfy that need.

I hope so...my son-in-law is one of the cooks there. Good happy hour - we've been a few times for the sliders and garlic fries. Is The Beer Garden still open? Oh, sounds good. The patio seating looks nice, too.
