Caught the band in Grass Valley at the Veteran's Auditorium. Sadly, not the best show or venue.  We had a good time, but not great. The staff was very nice, and the drinks/snacks were fine.  The show itself was way too loud, but that is to be expected with Fleetwood's drumming style. He seemed angry at the drums and was beating them severely. That does get a certain tone, but the band must play to match the volume. Still, enjoyable to watch him play.  Ear plugs were handed out at the entry door.

The venue was similar to a high school gym in size, but had ramped floor seats and a small elevated section in back. No bad seats, however, there ws some sort of added rubber "cushion" on the seats that became uncomfortable after a while.

The band was lead by Rick Vito who played with Fleetwood Mac for a time.  He was very good, and a good performer (we actually sat at the patio table next to him for dinner at  Kane's, which is a bit overpriced and slow on service, but good food and ambiance for a date night).

Unfortunately, there was too much slide guitar for my taste. I like slide, but when nearly every song has it, it all starts sounding the same.  Lots of blues to choose, with or without slide.  Just saying.

Highlight of the set was Oh Well. Vito cranked it and Mic was an animal on drums.  They also did a weird set with Mic on a limited set of percussion out front with a guest cajon player.

We ended up leaving a little before the  event end time.  For the price, not worth it. Also, will reconsider Kane's as there are a few other nice restaurants there recommended to us.

Chris Cain is playing the Sutter Creek theater on november 19th for 1/3 the cost. Would probably feel much more satisfied with that...
