My wife and I will go out and stand on the overpass with our
flags. We need to know the route. If they are coming West on 50
will they be turning up through Folsom to Green Valley Road, or
where? If we stand on the overpass on Prairie City Road that
goes over 50, will they be coming through there? Need to know
the route and approximate time.

Also, is it legal to stand on the overpasses to do this? I
really don't care, I will do it anyway.

Thanks.

not a lot of time for his family to visit with him before the services. I'll get my flag ready. I guess the best place would be the Prairie City Road overcrossing?

My wife and I will be on the Prairie City Road overcrossing too. The information that I have received from John Steiner says that they will be exiting HWY 50 at El Dorado Hills then turning onto Serrano Parkway then on to Green Valley Road.

I'm just guessing but I would think they would be at the Prairie
City Road overcrossing around 5:15 - 5:30 PM, possibly a bit later.

Everyone that can please turn out and show our gratitude to this
young Marine that gave his life for his country.

Is there a website that lists the times they expect to be at each street between 5-6? I will be in that general area for an appointment at 6 and would like to participate, and get to my appt on time.

I just called the Folsom Police Department to let them know that
a bunch of us would be out on the Prairie City overpass. The person
I talked to didn't think there would be a problem with this and if
there is someone would get back to me.

See you there between 5:15 & 5:45 PM today. Bring your flags.

awesome. prairie city and scott road would both be good locations to show them Folsom cares. Any Boy Scouts out there? It would be nice to line both overcrossings.

I am sure that the Marines and other services with the VFW here
in Folsom will be involved in one way or another. I am not a member
of the local VFW but they are a great organization.

This is not a time to bring up problems within the services. This
is a time to honor a fallen veteran no matter what service they
are in.

Also, Scott road would be a good place too. I just went out to
The Prairie City overpass and there is plenty of room for people
to stand and pay their respects.

Thanks, will go to Lowes.

Update: Just fyi for those who care. Lowe's had flags made in the USA but they tended to be larger. The hand sized flags are not labeled as made in USA but the computer shows that they are so. They had a bunch -- 20-30 I guess.

I called the Folsom VFW and they will be involved.

If anyone knows phone numbers for the Boy Scout troops
call them and see if some of them can go out. Girl Scouts too.

I know the kids are back in school but they would have time
to get out to Prairie City or Scott.
