Folsom officials urge motorists to avoid Blue Ravine Road between Big Valley Road and Oak Avenue Parkway AND Sibley Street between Levy Road and Blue Ravine Road due to local street flooding.

It's not going to waste.  I don't need to water my yard and my trees are happy.  My rain barrels are full again, yay!

 

The corner of School & Glenn was pretty flooded for a while, too.  It always happens when the rain comes down fast just like at Sibley.

That that is not absorbed goes down the storm drains and out to the river. Any amount added to the river reduces the amount that needs to be released from the dam in order to maintain the minimum flow into the delta (to prevent salt water from washing in). So its not wasted.

I thought Blue Ravine was used mainly for Indy 500 Qualifying..
