Thanks in advance!

Sutter Middle School has a track and so does Folsom Middle School.
I'm not sure, but I think the track at Folsom High is locked up.

Sutter is always open... Football practices T, W Th from 5-8:30, but the track is always available, if you don't mind the people around

The OP asked about the morning. There's nobody around at Sutter in the mornings except for the Canadian geese.
If there is a practice of some sort I always find the coach and ask if they mind if I run. They've never said no.

I run at the sutter track in the mornings, when I can't run with my work out partner.
Since my kid has zero period PE, there--it is advantageous for me.....

Does anyone else use the track during practice? Wouldn't want to be the only one out there.

Yep... Lotsa people... some days less than others, and sometimes the players or cheerleaders run a lap or 2, but the track is almost always in use by runners... besides there is so much going on there, nobody will even notice you...

Yes, the FHS track is closed to the public. My husband took the kids there last year and found it was locked. He even got confirmation from Folsom that it is closed to the public and was very disappointed. Doesn't our tax money go to that school and we can't use its track? Don't understand... Btw, both Folsom high schools' tracks are really nice!

A great idea in theory, but being alone on the bike trails before the sun rises sounds a bit sketchy. Not that I'm sure a track at a school would be much better, however. I'm hoping to find an occassional alternative to the gym/treadmill.

It may be closed at times, but I have used the FHS track on several occasions. The only time I couldnt use it was when there was a game on. I think one time one of the gates was locked but it was pretty easy to get on and there were a few others training there as well.
