The single question that should color every voter's decision going into 2020.

Tax rate? Lower now
401k? Much higher now.
Home value? Much higher now.
Employment rate? Never higher.
Country's security? ISIS is gone. Islamic terrorist attacks domestically at near zero.

Everything that affects us personally is FAR better than it was before Trump's historic election.

But, to the loony left, apparently a phone call with Ukraine tears all that apart and is reason for removing a duly elected President...?

Or was it treason?
Or collusion?
Or obstruction?
Or quid pro quo?

Don't forget folks....

LIBERALISM IS A MENTAL DISEASE

Slow,

The first four items on your list, significantly can be summarized in the phrase "worship of money."

Not necessarily a bad thing, but when it comes at the expense of, or in exchange for:

 - a trade war with China

 - a loosening of environmental protections

 - destroying the reputation of career professionals for personal gain

 - the destruction of our alliances with NATO members and world-wide allies

 - the abuse of power by the president

 - obstruction of justice by the president

 - intimidating of witnesses by the president

then, for most honest people, the cost, in terms or our values, is not worth it.

Let's examine Vinny's post:

Trade "war". No one is at "war" with China. Lie #1
"Loosening" of protections. Nothing was "loosened" by Trump. Lie #2
"Destroying" reputations. No one's reputation was "destroyed" by Trump. Lie #3
"Destruction" of alliances. Please tell us which allies don't work with us any longer. Lie #4.
"Abuse" of power. The President is granted powers that you simply don't understand. He has yet to abuse any powers granted him by our constitution. Lie #5
"Obstruction" is just like "collusion", "treason" and "intimidation". Completely debunked so many times that this may be the biggest LIE of all.

Now.... please tell us something that isn't a lie. Just try to be honest....tell us just this ONE THING: How is YOUR life not better now than it was 4 years ago

Not Chinese people or politicians.... how is YOUR LIFE NOT BETTER.

Nothing in your life has anything to do with anything you posted. You know what DOES????? Everything I posted as positives.

Your life isn't worse because of anything you lied about. Your life DOES care about being able to pay your bills.

No one here expects you to be honest because you can't tell the truth.

Lie upon lie upon lie upon lie.

Another lie. You can't slap people around day after day and then tell them you love them.

Your dishonesty is astonishing.

Personally, the Obama years did nothing good for me.  Business was tighter, taxes were higher, my house value dropped substantially, healthcare disruption cost my dad about 10k a month (he sold individual plans for self-employed). I saw businesses uncertain and holding their capital.

Since Trump, I am working less, making more, my 401 is doing great, my house value has increased substantially, and I am looking forward to a comfortable retirement (still a few years away).  I see businesses investing capital and a generally positive outlook for the future. That will come to a screeching halt if a dem gets elected pres.  You can't run on vilifying people who invest and make money and expect an enthusiastic economy.

SO personally, the last 3 years have been pretty great for me.  I also think it is terrific that he rolled back onerous and overreaching laws for both business and environment.  The pendulum had to swing back at some point, and it would not have done so with Hillary.

Support for Donald Trumps economic policies rose to the highest level of his presidency in November, according to the latest Gallup opinion poll.

Fifty-seven percent of Americans approved of President Trumps handling of the economy, up from 53 percent in August and 50 percent in May. Approval is dramatically improved from the early days of his presidency, when just 48 percent said they approved.

The share of Americans who say they disapprove of Trumps economic policies fell to just 42 percent, the lowest level on record. This was as high as 48 percent when Trump took office, nearly tied with his 47 percent approval rating. So the latest results show Americans have become more united in support of Trumps economic policies.

It really is very simple. Nov 2020 is a stark choice between 2 different world views. This will probably be the most consequential election any of us take part in.

One one side you have the American Party. They love the USA, it institutions its traditions, it culture and want to make them better.

On the other side you have the Anti American party. They loath everything about the USA and want to fundamentally transform everything about it to create something completely different.

So that your choice Nov 2020. It does not matter what pretty little lies the local or regional candidates tell you. It about the two political parties and which world view they subscribe to.

Do we stay the USA or do we become something completely different?

Yes, I agree with Rose..   Well said Slow....!

I just might add my 02 cents to Slow's short but sweet statement..

Don't forget that the democrats hate the rich, hate success, hate capitalism, hate people making money (other than themselves), and hate academic achievement, all of which they can tie into some sort of "racist" claim.  They also will carbon shame you all the while they take private jets here and there, and limos too....!   Yep, the old do as I say, not as I do elite democrats.

In short, the motto of the current day liberals and democrats is "Punish success and reward failure".....!

Good post, slow, but I think you got the sides mixed up!

"Loves the USA but allows polluters to destroy the environment????                (That's Trump.)

"Loves the USA" but sides with Russia?????                                                        (That's Trump.)  :gah:

"Loves the USA" but hates minorities, women, immigrants, left leaning states????  (That's Trump.)

"Loves its institutions" but sides against his own intelligence agencies????       (That's Trump.)

"Loves its institutions" but calls the free press "the enemy of the people?????   (That's Trump.)   :noyoudint:

"Loves its institutions" but sends his personal hit-man (Giuliani) to run a secret, un-American foreign policy???

"Loves its culture" but only if it's White???                                                         (That's Trump.)

C'mon, man! What do you define love as? Looks more like betrayal.

As usual, Vinny completely missed the forest for the trees.

His focus is on one man...his hate is beyond TDS..

My post looks to focus on America and conservative values which Vinny doesn't understand mean so much more than ONE MAN.

Take Trump out of the equation Vinny...then ask yourself which America you want. The greatest nation on Earth that everyone in the world yearns to be and hundreds of thousands risk everything to get into....or the socialist disaster you want it to become.

Of course, he can't get past his OVERWHELMING HATE to be objective.... like a normal rational and sane person would do.

Nah!

It's pretty much the majority of Republicans.

They worship money, even over democratic values.

Trump is just their poster boy.
