Tomorrow, Saturday, The Sacramento Police Department will begin a bike race that starts in Oceanside, Ca and ends in Annapolis, MD.
The SacPD rode their first race last year, and represented themselves quite well. They fundraise for this ride throughout the year, and after the race is over, they take the funds that are raised to donate to the National Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington, DC in honor of fallen Law Enforcement. They completed their very first ride in 6 days 6 hours and 8 minutes.

If you would like to follow this race you can go to Facebook and look up RAAM for the main page or SacPD RAAM for their team.

The RAAM Website is: http://www.raceacros...p?N_webcat_id=7 To view the time stations, the route and The GPS links.

For those of you you who like races, this race has been called more difficult than the Tour De France and has riders from all over the world.

This race also includes an 8 person team of teenagers from Folsom/EDH, the youngest team ever to race, Team Donate Life: Believe and Achieve. Look them up as well.

What is the name of the Sac PD team?

You can track their progress on the myathlete.com website. We should rename thread the coppers and kids RAAM race!! Ha!

2,108 miles to go. They are already in Colorado. Absolutely amazing. The crews that are running these bike teams are hopping! One of the bike teams (wounded warriors) had their car catch on fire last night and then explode. No one was hurt. With the smokey conditions in Colorado, the next 24 hours may see some teams slow down.

It looks like Team Believe and Achieve is in 4th place and the Team Sac PD is in 6th place of 18 Teams.

Three is a possibility these two teams are gonna go head to head when they hit the Mississippi!
