Hello everyone. I just wanted to take a minute to announce that I am officially a candidate for the FCUSD School Board.

As of Friday when I filed, there are 6 candidates for 3 open seats, two of whom are incumbents. Since one member elected not to file, the deadline to register as a candidate was extended to 8/12 I believe, so it is possible that another may also qualify for the ballot.

Those of you who know me, and those of you who care to dig up my post history, know that I am passionate about education. That, along with 4 children attending school in this district, and a healthy does of insanity, pretty much dictates that I should jump into the fray.

I know I have been quiet here on myfolsom the past few months. I took a bit of a necessary break. But I look forward to the campaign, to meeting new folks, and to earning your support!

I'm REALLY disappointed to see two incumbents running. I wish there was a way to campaign against people.
