Show starts at 10. I didn't go last year but the year before we went to a neighborhood/empty lot at the end of the flight line and it was awesome. I'd say the Angels won't start until after 1.

That is what I am thinking my son's school traveled to a school yesterday to launch their rockets in Mather and it was right at the end of the runway planes right there thought I would sneak there and sit on the field (as long as no thunder rolling around) and see what happens.. Thanks

It sounded like there was a practice flight this morning!

I just moved to Mather a few months ago, and I have a ton o' errands on Saturday. How bad does the traffic get?

traffic is horrendous, don't even try it. Drive to the Sunrise light rail and take the train in. They have buses waiting with police escorts, they take you right in.

That's what I did last year and it was great. The police are really strict though at the east end of the runway by mather golf course with people parking on the side of the road or near the fence at the end of the runway.

If you go into the show, do what John said and use light rail. I took light rail from the Iron Point station rather than drive to Sunrise though.

My son and I went last year(10 year old) We had a great time. Arrived around noon NO traffic problems drove up right to the gate. Saw all of the aircraft and watched the Thunderbirds. Bring water, some cash for food and stuff and ahve a great time. We will be there this year again.

They're there all right. On the news yesterday a.m., and I've been hearing the jets all day long, although it's tough to see anything with all the clouds.

Well I'll be going against the traffic...leaving Mather to go run errands. My parents are watching the kiddos and the show from my backyard. I've seen the show the past two days, they are practicing right next to our neighborhood.

Fat Albert was in the Air at 3:10PM followed by the Angels a few minutes afterwards. The show was GREAT and the traffic was light. Tomorrows show should be even better! The sound is incredibly powerful and they seem so close sometimes you can see the pilot. The Blue Angels show lasted until about 4:10PM the clouds made for a great backdrop as it gave you perspective to just how fast and far the awsome machines can go. These guys are AWSOME!!!! here are some shots from today. Enjoy!
