If you have the time, watch this week's Vice News 90 minute special report 'A World in Disarray'.  It's on HBO.  It provides a sobering account of what's really going on in the world, particularly spots in turmoil. It chronicles events that have lead to our current situation, and shows how US policy and decisions over the past 30 years have actually made things worse.  What's even more troubling is the current administration's decision to pull back from global leadership.  It will only encourage rouge nations and factions to become more aggressive and create more problems for the planet.  this is already starting in the Philippines and Venezuela.

I do find myself watching the Vice channel more and more often now....    Good stuff, interesting take on things.   And I bet "US policy" and "decisions" over the past 30 years mean more good people are alive today and more bad guys are dead, except for maybe in Iraq, we broke that one good.   Chris

The problems extend back all the way to Bush #1.  Trump has made it clear he has no interest in leading the world on any issues.  "America First" automatically implies "the rest of the world second".
