I finally got my Dad's custom bike put back together, and I'm proud of myself. All classic Campagnolo and Cinelli parts.

For anyone's future reference, I have learned that this cable is routed wrong, do not copy! :D Especially since it rubs the seat tube.
I ride a Schwinn (Super LeTour model) from the early 1980's era. Mine has a lot of Shimano Parts. Yours has a lot more higher end goodies.
That's cool! Well, I'm not sure it's all great. I switched the seat for one I can sit on (I've had this Brooks for thousands of miles and it was never comfortable), the gear range isn't wide enough, and you can see why they invented index shifting. These shifters don't even have the plastic clutches, they are just aluminum on steel and stiff as heck.

I rode a smilarly equipped bike for many years; those shifters should be smooth and easy - that's an issue that can be fixed. You can also get a different cog set for teh rear and improve the gearing.

Yes! I have found up to 32 in the rear but I think it would need Rally derailleur plates... it's all non-original and so probably not in the spirit of the thing.
