what's the point of a naming committee by the residents if it's just going to be overturned anyway?

I am not so concerned with the name although I would have prefered Prairie Oaks or even Prairie City, but rather with the way things seem to get done in Folsom. It seems that the School Board is following in the footsteps of the city council by pretending to let us have a say and then turning around and doing their own thing! wink.gif

This Thursday, March 6, 2003, at 4:00 p.m. come to the new elementary school to meet the new principal, Linda Walden, and Sandra J. Gallardo. There will be refreshments and tours of parts of the campus. It's time to enjoy the fruits of your efforts and money!

"Sometimes on purpose and sometimes by accident, teachers' unions have a long history of working against the interests of children in the name of job security for adults. And Democrats in particular have a history of facilitating this obstructionism in exchange for campaign donations and votes." . . .Amanda Ripley re "Waiting for Superman" movie.
