What's The Best Restaurant in Old Sac?

I have a friend passing through town who is a real foodie, I want to take her out to lunch in Old Sac because she's only got a couple of hours after she flies in before she has to be on the road for her business.
We always go to Joe's Crab shack, which I like for when I have the kids with me, but I think the food is just OK.
Looking for some suggestions,
Thanks,
Jen

I like California Fat's as well.
You may want to consider going a little further out.
There is the 4th Street grill on....4th.
Zocalo at 18th and Capitol is great.
I've heard good things about Butterfly, the Japanese place next door.

Joe's had a "neat" atmosphere, and I would say the food was just below "OK". I can't believe I paid $6 bucks for a beer!
So, we left there, and went to the Rio City Cafe.. nice place, and definately great location. We were there inbetween Lunch & Dinner so only had the drinks/appetizer menu, but the food was good quality and the drinks reasonably priced and a decent selection. Will have to go back there when the weather warms up and sit on the balcony for dinner.
We've eaten at Fat's, but prefer Jennie's for yummy chinese food, or P.F. Changs for the atmosphere/good-ish food.
I've heard rave reviews of 4th St. and Zocalo.. will have to put them on our to-do list

No offense, but Jennie's is 3 day old dog crap compared to Fat's. IMO. Plus, the atmosphere,e spcially at Cal Fat's, is awesome. 2 story waterfall anyone?

Most Chinese places are short on atmosphere. Fat's and PF Changs are exceptions. With most others, the food is good, but not a fun or celebratory atmosphere.

There's a Wendy's as I recall on 2nd and K.
Fanny Ann's is fun (novelty) but can't get past the sticky tables.........good food, but still creaped out by sticky tables...............ugghhhhhhhh............
Firehouse is excellent but a little uppity, California Fats is good. Morton's is fabulous!!!! But be sure and order 1 side for every 2 or 3 people - way to much food!
Personal favorite for real casual in old Sac is the Roundtable Pizza downstairs on K Street between first and second. You have to look hard for it.
