One last update. I just talked to an IT guy who told me to WAIT for the Windows 7 because it has the option to run @ XP or Windows 7 right out of the box @ boot time. So that may solve all my issues.

The funny thing is that Microsoft is basically by passing Vista (backwards) by allowing users to run XP or Windows 7.


Uh, Windows 7 does NOT have that option. But his recommendation to wait for Windows 7 is a good one. I am running it, and it blows away Vista and is even better than XP.

Oh yes you can. Here is an article on Windows 7 "XP Mode". One my IT friends told me that it will be fairly easy. It could be easy for him, but for a non IT guy like me, it may take some tinkering.
