After the appalling  efforts by the corporate media regarding Horowitz's testimony, I think it is time for a separate thread.  If you only read/watched the corporate media, you would have come away with the impression that the FBI and COmey were "vindicated" (a word that was used profusely on the MSM).  If you bothered to listen to the ACTUAL testimony, it was a deeply troubling rebuke of the FBA and DOJ.

Graham: “The former FBI director James @Comey said this week that your report vindicates him. Is that a fair assessment of your report?”

Horowitz: “The activities we found here don’t vindicate anybody who touched this.”

The press bent over backward to highlight when Horowitz said he could not definitively prove that political bias drove the decisions that he upbraided as errors, omissions and misleading.

Anyone with a shred of intellectual curiosity would wonder what he actually did find.  He found severe malfeasance, and while he couldn't PROVE political bias (often witnesses claimed ignorance or forgetfulness), there is plenty of evidence to paint a pretty clear picture. Here he is , when asked about bias, claiming the actions of the FBI were "inexplicable"

"It’s fair for people to look at all of these 17 events and wonder how it could be pure incompetence,” said Horowitz.

Meanwhile, NPR,ABC,CBS, NBC and CNN were claiming there was nothing there  Heck, CNN even went so far as to cut from republican statements and questions BUT carry dem statements live...what bias?

In addition, it was interesting to read the London Telegraph after last night's UK vote where conservatives creamed the liberals.  Like America, the televised newsreaders were stunned.  Which just goes to show how out of touch the London/US coastal bubble is with the rest of us.  I know that on my recent visit there, the attitudes were much different in London than the people I met outside London..

It has become quite clear to me that most "news" is merely agendized talking points regurgitated ad nauseum until they get into the public consciousness... regardless of truth.  Furthermore, this agendized "news" is FAR more dangerous to a democracy than any foreign interference.

Quick shout out to Kim Strassel of the WSJ for her excellent coverage of the impeachment hearings.

The Wapo, always known as partisan hacks exposed themselves last night once again.  They tweeted out a photo of staff drinking and laughing with the words, "Merry Impeachmas from the WaPo team"

When they tell you who they are, believe them...

Joe, they are beholding to Bezos to do his bidding.........   They owe their very jobs and salary to this guy.....   I am sure Bezos is losing money every day at the WaPo.  It is not a money making commercial enterprise, it is a propaganda mouthpiece for Bezos and the democrats.   It is not news, it is a political propaganda tool.  Karma will take care of them come this November, they will have plenty of things to write about, you know, when Republicans take back the house, get more Senators, and Trump is re-elected by a landslide.  The funny thing is that they still don't see it coming.  They are in denial.  Chris
