I did not leave the meeting until after 11:30 Tues. night. If you couldn't be there you can watch the proceedings Sat. Feb. 1st on Channel 14 beginning at 9 AM but the important topics did not come up for a couple of hours.

1. You WILL be paying 400% more for your sewer/water/trash services
2. You will be paying for TWO recycle services.
3. You will be paying for 1, 2, or 3 trash cans even if you don't have need of them.

The forcing of Folsom taxpayers/residents to pay for the 400% increases and the many other abuses is because THE SEWER/WATER/TRASH FUNDS WERE USED TO PAY FOR SOMETHING ELSE (ONE OF THE BRIDGES?)!

DID YOU KNOW THAT THE ABOVE IS ILLEGAL????? If you did not know this you might want to read some of the STATE LAWS!!!!

The above is not the ONLY illegal act which has been blindly accepted by the taxpayers in Folsom!!

Some of you might want to join the few who are concerned about ALL THAT HAS BEEN GOING ON IN THE fOLSOM CITY GOVERNMENT FOR TOO LONG NOW! Those we elect MAY BE either GREEDY OR INCOMPATENT OR BOTH!!!

YOU AND I ARE, AND HAVE BEEN, PAYING FOR THE ABOVE AND A LOT MORE!!

My understanding after watching the proceedings (they were also on Friday at 9am) is that everyone will be paying for 2 cans (minimum, more if you request them). However, not everyone will actually get 2 cans for several years. They still have to buy the cans, and the extra trucks needed, and they don't have the money for that yet. We all have to pay for them first, so that those who need it can use it later. (The 2nd can is for recyling yard debris only.)

Ridiculous.

Yes, Ken, ridiculous------Spending $$$$$ to buy umpteen garbage cans which many residents don't want or need, (& maybe trucks & workers?).

They can't get out of the contract involving the prison recycle program for quite a time yet BUT we will be paying for those extra (or future use) cans, trucks, & labor in the 400% increases that start tomorrow.

We will pay for 1 can for trash, 1 can for recycle (deposit bottles, deposit cans, newspapers, etc.?) and 1 can for yard cuttings. If we use 1 can now we will have at least one more additional can (recycle) EVENTUALLY.

Meanwhile, the recycle still goes on at the prison. Watch your wallet pocket guys, THERE IS MORE TO COME!!!

This has all come about because they spent the sewer/waste/water funds elsewhere. If the streets have potholes in them for a long time, it makes one wonder where THAT money was spent! dry.gif wink.gif mad.gif
