The Warriors made the playoffs!

What few left? Warrior fans took over Arco last week and there were over 2,000 last night in Portland.

Last night was My best sports night in a long time:

Giants win over Cards (who I can't stand)
Bonds into the bay
Sharks take 3-1 series lead over the Preds
Warriors win and reach the playoffs
My soccer team won our opening game last night, too.

Great night!

I've been rocking the Warriors avatar all year. No bandwagon Warrior fans in Folsom.

I definitely do not think you're a bandwagon fan. You'll just probably notice an influs of former Barria transplants who are all of a sudden Warriors fans again. Of course, this will last exactly 1 week, until the Mavs wax them.

While the Mavs should win, I think it will be an exciting series, certainly more entertaining than just about any other series.

Would you rather watch the Warriors- Mavs with a 125-123 score, or watch the Heat- Bulls with a 78-73 score?

By the way, the W's have won the last four against the Mavs, although the one on Tuesday night (when the Mavs didn't play anyone) doesn't really count. There are some interesting subplots:

Nellie vs. Cuban
Nellie vs. Avery Johnson
Avery being the point guard on the last W's team to make the playoffs

Tony -

The W's beat the Kings 3 of 4 so I owe you a 12 pack. I think our bet was for Old Milwaukee or was it Oly Gold? refresh my memory - I owe you a 12 pack of something....

Unlike CV I pay my bets win I lose....in fairness to CV he may not remember that he owes me $100 since it's 2007, a new arena has not been started, and the Kings are still in town....

Mmmm....Oly Gold! I didn't even know they still made that. I am attending an '80s party in a couple of weeks, and it would be great to bring that along.

What's this?

During last year's discussions about the Kings leaving if an arena isn't built you commented that if ground wasn't broken for a new arena by 2007 the Kings would be gone. I challenged your comments and we bet $100. I'll see if I can find the post.

Bottom line is if it's 2007, the Kings are still in Sac, and ground hasn't been broken for a new arena - you owe me $100. All three conditions have been met....

I bet you $100 that by 2008, if no new arena is under construction, they are gone.

my mistake - you have more time to collect your pennies....

Awesome game last night! I'm not much of a basketball fan but that was a great one to watch...
