Events for December 31, 2015

The Sacramento Walking Sticks Volkssport Club invites everyone, including the family dog, to join us as we walk in the New Year. We'll be meeting at the Pioneer Congregational Church, 2700 L Street, Sacramento 95816 on Thursday, Dec 31, 2015 and Friday, Jan 1, 2016. Register for New Year's Eve between 5-6:00 pm and finish by 9:00 pm; register for New Year's Day between 9:00-12:00 Noon and finish by 3:00 pm. There will be different 3 and 6 mile routes on both days; everyone walks at their own pace with written directions and detailed maps with historical information about what they're seeing along the way. The New Year's Eve route will take people into the brightly lit, festive Sacramento Fab-40's. New Year's Day will take people to classic residential neighborhoods including Boulevard Park and Mansion Flats including walking by 2 of the notorious Dorothea Puente houses. People are encouraged to enjoy the sights along the way; taking pictures and stopping in to shops and restaurants as they choose. These events are Free and family friendly.
