I dislike both of these teams. So to make it interesting... I bet a friend who is a Bears fan $50 that the Colts would win. It gives me someone to root for... I've got money on it. Plus... he didn't want any points he was so confident.

The Colts need to let Grossman lose this game. Put 8 in the box... and play man-to-man on the receivers.

Yeah those young inexperienced quarterbacks can't win the big games. Oh wait, who won last year, some guy name Rothlis--what?

I wasn't talking about Grossman's inexperience being a problem. Its his talent... poor decisions... and tendancy to turn the ball over. Roethlisberger was much better statistics-wise last year. Grossman isn't the reason why the Bears are in the SuperBowl... but he can be the reason WHY they lose the SuperBowl if the Colts defend right. Stop the run... and make Grossman beat you with his arm.

The Colts offense and Bears defense will be a fun match up to watch.

I see the early line is Colts by 7 point...I was kinda surprised. The over/under is 49 pts.

I normally would root for any team but the Bears, unless they were playing Notre Dame. I don't have any sentinmental favorites, I'm waiting for the next SI edition...before taking a road trip to Tahoe and reinvesting the Florida & USC opportunities.

Two boys are playing hockey at a park in Chicago. Suddenly, a rabid dog attacks one of the boys. The other uses his stick to break the dog's neck. A reporter sees it all happen and approaches the boys.

"I'm going to write a story for you about this. The headline will say "Bears Fan Saves Boy from Rabid Dog."

"I'm not a Bears fan," the boy says.

"I thought the C on your shirt was for the Bears. Ok, it'll say 'Cubs Fan Saves Boy from Rabid Dog," says the reporter.

"I'm not a Cubs fan," says the boy.

"Okay, White Sox Fan Saves Boy from Rabid Dog," she says.

"I'm not a White Soxs fan," says the boy.

"I thought everyone from Chicago was either a Bears, Cubs or Sox fan. What does that C stand for?" asks the reporter.

"The Colts." said the boy.

The reporter turns to her coworker and says: "The headline will say: HEARTLESS BASTARD KILLS BELOVED FAMILY DOG."

again, GO COLTS....
A VETERAN Whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America" for an amount "up to and including their life". That is HONOR, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it. -Author unknown-

I heard Rex Grossman has already been invited to the White House....Bush heard he overthrows everybody!

Low scoring game and the winner wins by less than 7...I don't care who...its how much!

A low scoring game is good for us. Just for you, Robert, I'm hoping the Bears win by a touchdown. (And a field goal.) hehehe

I'm going with Bears. I just want to see Refrigerator Perry out there working the line . . . oh wait, am I living in the past??

Bears, I think because I hail from nearby Milwaukee area, and my dear spouse grew up in Chi town.

WHATEVER! It's a great excuse for eating and drinking too much! cheers.gif dj.gif

I am thinking 23-13 Colts.

Why I want the Colts to win:
* Tony Dungy - burned by Tampa, good guy, will probably retire and tend his ministry afterward
* I am from New Orleans, and the the Bears beat the Saints
* Nearly everyone in NOLA loves Archie Manning, and we'd love to see one of his boys win it
* Under pressure, Rex Grossman crumbles like Peyton Man....wait, never mind.

It should be an entertaining game.

Actually, I've got the Bears & 7....so I won't be Too disapointed. I've gone against one of my philosophies...NEVER bet on the BEARS. It was a very difficult thing to do, but I value Ben Franklins more than I dislike the Bears. I'd even bet on the Badgers...if I thought they could win!

The good news is...last weeks SI had Peyton Manning on the cover.....

I won't be surprised if the Colts scoring the winning TD in the last few seconds and then bobbling the snap on the PAT, amazingly somehow making a 2pt conversion and winning by 8 pts.

Me betting on the Bears, is like Charlie Brown hoping Lucy won't move the football as he tries to kick it..
