Those who know me are surprised to find that I am now a lover of dogs.

After going the first 24 years of her life without one, my daughter adopted a Pomchi (Pomeranian Chihuahua), which had been abandoned and left behind at a foreclosed home.

I initially refused to let her stay, but ended up letting her spend the night under these strict rules:

  • No pee, poo or vomit on the floor

  • No barking

  • No dogs on the furniture

  • No shedding

Apparently, Fifi can't read and broke all of the rules, but by she had become my pal, so I let her stay.

Sadly, my daughter moved to the Pismo area, and I miss her (and my daughter, too). I get why so many people love their dogs.

I digress...

People please! Keep your dogs on leashes and clean up after them!

I run on the trails here and see a lot of folks walking dogs.

It's not cool, fun or acceptable for your dog to charge me, even if it's just a chihuahua.

And it's not cool or acceptable to let your dog crap on the trail, even if humans poo too, and even if you make them crap on the shoulder, which by the way, is for runners and walkers.

Please be courteous and respect others rights not to have to deal with your dogs or dog poo.

Please be especially curtious on sports fields.  It is never fun to "run into" the left behind presents.
