Thank you brother Aces...........   I would expect nothing else from you but what you just said.   The left wants to shut down discourse and anyone who disagrees with them.  This will not be tolerated.  The debate will go on, if not on CNN and MSNBC at least on FOX.  What is weird is that our local channels are pushing the national, left wing, socialist agenda, KCRA3, channel 10, and Channel 08............   Sad, they report DNC propaganda as "fact" and "news", "breaking news" actually.........   So sad......   Maybe they have to do so to keep their jobs or maybe they just believe it........   Thinking the latter.......   Chris

Chris, I don't see the problem of you having a back and forth with Vinny or any other liberal, for that matter. You were asked to NOT quote Vinny when you reply to his post. It was a reasonable request. Yet you defend your habit of quoting him, even when it would not change your being able to reply to him. He knows what he wrote and you do too, so why quote him? It's a function, a choice. One can choose it when replying to a post. 

 

Further, if posters block you, your words will not be read by them either. You will be cut off from those posters and this forum will only be a little room for you and Vinny to go back and forth, over, I might add, topics you've discussed with him a thousand times before. It makes no sense.

 

I WILL block you and hope that Slow will do the same and remain on the board. But I hope you understand you are speaking to a person that has shown no change of opinion and seeks only to confuse the issues and dodge questions because of his delight in doing so. If you like Vinny because of his views on UFO's and the like, why not discuss these topics and politics in a separate thread, if you can not honor other posters with a very simple and easy request, of NOT quoting a disrupt er of this forum? 

 

Also, I have had to re access my opinion of you since you have made it clear what you think and your disregard of the posters on this forum. Apologizing and then stating that you intend to do as you like is a childish way to try and gain permission. No one would accept this type of action in any other situation. "Oh, sorry for the inconvenience and any pain I've caused you with my actions, but I intend to continue to do as I please." WTH????  Ego driven much???

 

I hope your attitude doesn't carry over to other relationships in your life. Most people won't like it either, when their requests are easy and very simple to do, and you give a stubborn and selfish reply of intending to do as you wish.

Your suspicions may be true. We may never know. But I am asking that you come back to the forum and block Chris, as I have, in order to not see the posts of Vinny.

 

Your input to this forum is greatly valued and it would be a shame for us to lose you. Please reconsider your leaving us.

I think you all are missing something important. By blocking people you disagree  with, you are doing EXACTLY what the left does on college campuses, what DC occupants do, what the NYT, MSNBC, and East coast media do. It's what the KKK does as well....you are creating a self supporting echo chamber of like thinking individuals that will IGNORE any voices outside that bubble.

 

That is no way to live an informed, well rounded life. It is important to understand the thought processes of those you disagree with.  By forcing you to either argue your position, or reevaluate your position based on new information, it will clarify your position in your own mind as well as others.

Is Vin sometimes annoying with his nonstop TDS? Yes, but he also brings up uncomfortable facts on occasion that must be reconciled. The same could be said of Aces.  He can be annoying with his abrasive dismissal of anything not supporting Trump, but he does bring up uncomfortable (to the left) facts as well.

 

You all do what you want. If you cant see the danger in isolating yourself from foreign ideas, I dont know how to convince you... It seems telling that first you ignore Vin for information that is the antithesis of yours, then you ignore Chris because he dares to engage Vin... Who's next? Someone you agree with on all but one topic? Soon you ill just be alone in your bubble. Secure in your self-righteousness

The "tolerant" right demands Chris change to appease them... he owes you nothing. You demand for him to change or you will exclude him from your world is the childish response, not him staying true to the ideals of the forum (polite discussion of diverse political opinion). You getting offended that he does not comply with your lack of tolerance with other views is on you.

There's a huge difference between an intelligent dialogue and spewing hate.
Vinny is literally a Trump hating propaganda machine. No perspective other than scouring the internet for Democrat talking points and posting them as taunts instead of providing any input of his own.

Joe, I think I've been on here long enough to know what views Vinny has....why do I need to hear him repeat them everyday? There is no having a discussion with him because he is totally set in his opinions, just as I am. Anyone who thinks they will turn him is a fool. Chris has called him "disillusioned" many times. Others have as well. He won't answer any of our questions directly and changes the subject, so you call that a discussion?  LOL!

 

Face it, he is NOT interested in what other people have to say unless it fits his own views. He puts up statements that are false, or we can see through but don't be fooled that he is trying to discuss anything.

 

You have a right to your own opinion and I respect that. But keep in mind the "Ignore" or "Block" feature is there for a reason.

 

I've tried to appeal to Chris to not quote Vinny and he won't comply. Most of his posts are to Vinny anyway so just what valuable discussion am I missing? I usually just skip over anything he is posting because it's usually to Vinny anyway.

 

In my opinion, Chris and Vinny are in their own bubble, thoroughly enjoying sparring with each other. Most other posters just ignore Vinny, as I have in the past. I have gotten no valuable content from Vinny and see no point in having to see his posts.

I ignore *child vinnie*.. I don't read his drivel, and I know it irritates him. That gives me a little satisfaction. For nearly 3 years he has been angry and unable to accept the election results without whining and complaining. That's why I refer to him as a child. You know the type.. the child who throws a tantrum because he lost to his brother in a board game. Just ignore the fool.. it's easy to do once you get used to it. Starve him of oxygen (replies) and he'll go away. And if you have to ignore Chris and Joe too, well that's an option I guess. I don't know why they talk to the child, but to each his own!

I really don't care if other posters talk to Vinny. What I care about is having to see Vinny's posts after I have put him on "Block".

But, when someone "Quotes" him, there it is. It's a loop hole in the program that really should be fixed, but I doubt that will happen.

I thought maybe if Chris knew the situation, he'd understand.

 

I wanted for Slow to come back and didn't want to see the posts of Vinny any longer....so blocking Chris was my only option. He really left me no choice.

 

I truly believe that Vinny hoped to shut down all discussion and run everybody off the board so he could run to brag about it on Facebook or Twitter.  He only pretended to have a discussion in order to get other posters to leave the board in frustration.

 

When we have seen over and over, how devious and underhanded the left can be, we can't look at them as wanting to come half way and help make things better for all. I think it's perfectly clear by now, it's going to be their way or they pull out all their dirty tricks.

 

I will no longer be tolerate of the left. The time has come to play the game as they do, come what may. The stakes are much too high for us to play fair when they break every rule in the book. We have seen it since Trump was elected and most have had enough. It's clear to me that we have to take the gloves off, just as Trump has done.

It would be so sad to lose you because of the nut job "Vinny".

Or...you could just scroll past anything you didn't care to read... Or... you could not be so quick to block anything you dont include in your worldview.  Saying Chris made you do it is not a legitimate answer.

You are like the christian that refuses to even look at the Koran, or the teachings of Buddha.  Intellectual tunnel vision is great for a feeling of righteousness, but a poor strategy for life.

 

Another analogy. Say you go to a restaurant, and you really like their lasagna. Unfortunately, it comes with a side of salad with Italian dressing and breadsticks. You hate Italian dressing, and that is your only option. You can either:

a, boycott the restaurant

b. Enjoy your lasagna and breadsticks and ignore the salad

c. Insist that no one else in your party have a salad so that you wont even have to look at it

 

A or B are defendable choices. C is not.
