Palladio will be opening another theater. This one a luxury type with dinner and drinks and supposedly comfy couches etc etc...I wonder about the prices. Going to the movies is already expensive for many but this is a new concept for an elite type audience. I wonder about the menu too. Folsom is certainly stepping up in the world. I think it's an interesting idea. Not sure how the other theatre feels. I hear they want a Beer and Wine license too now. Heck I'll try many things at least once. I just hope $5 Tuesday's remain at the theater they have now lol.

The theaters are owned by the same company.

Thanks SCA, I did not know that. What I read made it sound like the current theater now wanted a booze license and that they weren't going to get it. For the time being anyway. It sounded like they were po'd too but I may have just skimmed through it not comprehending properly.. Interesting that the company would put them in competition but I suppose the reality is they are apples and oranges. Two different experiences aimed at two different groups. Or at least two groups looking for a different night out.

I hadn't been to the existing one in Palladio in quite some time, then a month or so ago went and found they had upgraded to really comfortable chairs. It was only when the movie was over that saw that everyone but me and my wife knew that they also recline!

I wonder how they will divide the movies, if at all. Right now, if you look at the schedules, all of the theaters are playing the same movies.

We went a couple of weeks ago. You have assigned seating now too. I don't know if this was mentioned earlier or not.

I went online and you can pick the seats you want and purchase tickets in advance, if you want to, or you can take

from what is left over when you get there.

The seats were very nice and yes they did recline.

I don't think they left the lights on during the movie when we were there.

I hope they have an usher to slap down those behaving poorly. That's the main reason I don't go to many movies; always some kid kicking my seat, or adult on their phone, or non-stop talker. I much prefer my modest home theater experience.

I have likely gone to 30 movies in the last year at the EDH Regal and have NEVER had a kid kicking my seat and have never heard a single phone ring or any talkers ( but a few overzealous laughers (sp ) - and never a non stop or ANY talker that I can remember ... --  I go with a friend and we get there early to get our best seats.. the only thing I do not like is the price keeps going up... we are both seniors but it is still increasing... $8 ea now... on a Sunday...

Another great  day in the adventure of exploration and sight.

I haven't had too much trouble with talkers, as I usually avoid Friday nights and Saturdays. Sorry for the overzealous laughter. It's a problem.
