There was an accident on Riley St. Saturday night with Folsom Police and a civilian vehicle.  There were injuries involved.

A 24-year-old Manteca man was arrested Saturday evening on suspicion of drunken driving after he got into a crash with a Folsom police officer.

Around 7 p.m. Saturday, Benjamin Leonard Lucero III allegedly turned left in front of the police car on Riley Street near Lembi Drive, which resulted in a crash that sent the Folsom officer to the hospital with a hand injury, according to the Folsom Police Department.

Lucero was arrested on suspicion of felony driving under the influence causing injury, as well as for driving with a suspended license. He was booked early Sunday and is being held at the Sacramento County Main Jail on $90,000 bail, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department website.

That stretch of Riley in front of Kohl's, Walmart and the Post Office has a bad layout.  I've seen a few accidents and always confused drivers trying to figure out how to get into the Walmart center.
