I loved being pregnant. (I never had any sickness, morning or otherwise).

Best things about being pregnant:

--You can eat more.
--People are nice to you and smile indulgently.
--You can look forward to a huge break from work, known as maternity leave. (Since the leave is, by definition, shared with a newborn baby, it often isn't as fun in actuality as it is in the imagining of it. Still, it is something to look forward to, much like the last day of school).

What about the communal belly syndrome? You know, where everyone pats you and touches you because you're pregnant.

And Democrats in particular have a history of facilitating this obstructionism in exchange for campaign donations and votes." . . .Amanda Ripley re "Waiting for Superman" movie.

The waiting is not bad for me because it gave me the reason to take family sick leave from work and sit at home watching cable TV and going workouts while waiting for my wife. BUT, it's taxing my wife to the max. I feel sorry for her with the whole one month of no sleep and then more no sleep. She doesn't have any sickness other than the no-sleep. She looks rather healthy overall. thumbsupsmileyanim.gif

Nothing worse than the wait, hope you don't have too much longer. Good luck!  eek.gif

Unfortunately, and don't tell her this, but she isn't going to get any sleep for the next year or two! Unless you have one of those rare gems who can sleep through the night, your will be waking up every couple of hours. When the baby cries, someone will have to get up to check on him, pick him up, console, or feed.

You will become an expert in the art of faking sleep through those 4 am baby-crying sessions....oh wait, that was me.

hey now, I think taking turns is the fairest way to do it. I think Cyber will no doubt volunteer for the first few weeks so his wife can catch up a bit on her rest.

It's fairly typical for first babies to be late.

Our first one did the same. Having two is so different! Little by little, though, we are getting more sleep.
