I'm talking about the one on the north-west corner of Coloma and Figueroa. Take a drive/walk by and peek behind the locked iron gate and shroud of trees/bushes and you'll know instantly the one I'm talking about

And over the years I know some of the neighbors have objected to some of the things they've done to it because it's not in line with the historical architecture of most homes down there.

I know it's called the Cohn house, and was built on Folsom's "Nob Hill". Other than that, I don't know much.
Former Mayor Glen Fait owns it. It's listed in the national register of historical homes. Fait did all the renovation/remodeling over the last 20 years or so. It's on the corner of Sutter and Scott. I don't know of anything that "happened" there, like if you're referring to it being haunted. There's information about it at the Folsom History Museum on Sutter Street between Wool and Decatur.
