Aw Cheeesey, are you on that funding committee? is that why you have your panties bunched up over someone objecting to the funding, the blatant disrespect of residents by calling them all prisoners by building a prison tower over the bridge, and the incredible mooching of JC name over a stupid song he wrote after a 6 second ride?

I don't give a wet l& loud toot who paid for it, What I have a problem with is the developers pockets being heavy and the City leaders panting for the goodies in the pockets and being willing to sign off--- on anything-- the developers in this city want. And dont think for one second they werent very influential in the building of that tower.

Chist, get over yourself. If I dont like the bridge and say so, tough dirty water. At least Im honest. Do you have any idea how many people actually dont like that tower?

A lot!

Hope there aren't too many supermom's out there asking for vines!  :D:

BTW, other than contributing developer fees to match the grant funds mentioned by Cheesesteak, developers had nothing to do with the Johnny Cash Trail project or the architecture of the bridge. Developers have a lot of say about lots of things in the city, but other than building paths when required as parts of their developments and paying fees to the Humbug-Willow Creek fund, they have little to nothing to do with the development of the bike path system in town. Not everything in town (good or bad) is a conspiracy by the development community.

I wonder if the city has plans to drape banners all over the bridge to promote upcoming events.  Lets hope not...

They want us to come to the grand opening but where the heck is everyone going to park?

I think this is a great addition to the trails and it does a nice job honoring the city's heritage.

Put me in the like category.

I hadn't thought of this.  It wouldn't bother me to see a banner on the overcrossing over East Bidwell by Creekside, but they need to leave this alone.  If they absolutely have to they could do vertical banners on the streetlight posts instead.

You are supposed to ride your bike, silly :)  Just park in Briggs Ranch and walk over?

I saw the presentation on the Johnny Cash trail on the last Folsom City Council meeting. It really

looks great. They have a lot of art work (Johnny Cash) and the concept really looks GREAT.

It is going to cost around three million dollars from start to finish and they said that they

already have around one million dedicated towards it in grants and gifts.

not true. You are naive if you believe that.

Pockets are deep and wide open begging for tax free income when it comes to smooth talking politics in Folsom.

Please relieve my naivete. What did the developers have to do with this project?

And do explain what you are talking about in the second line. I have no idea what you are trying to say.Whose pockets are open?  Where is the tax free income coming from?

Again, the city could run some free buses out to the site and back.   Come on Folsom....

Then we could park at city hall or somewhere near and not have to walk a mile out and back.

It looks like this is going on for 3 hours too. For older people, no place to sit and the

two mile walk might be to much.

Personally, I am not going....
