Join us this Wednesday September 17th, for the first Folsom Food Truck Safari.

Presented by Sactomofo, the Safari will be held the 3rd Wednesday of each month in the lot in front of the Folsom Zoo.

There will be over 10 food trucks, live music, face painting, bounce houses and more.

Bring your own beer or wine and enjoy a picnic with the family.

Please spread the word and come on down!

I hope that there are enough food trucks to feed the masses. Too often these events mean way too much standing in line for me on a weeknight.

even if it just drives up attendance at the zoo that would be a benefit!  :)

I think they have 11 trucks, but no one knows how many people will show.

The zoo, library and art gallery are all open that night.

I was at the Library for other reasons, and I couldn't believe the traffic (car and pedestrian) coming to this event.  It must have been incredibly successful.

I wouldn't have guessed food trucks would be such a draw.

I stopped by the park last night and had a lobster roll from Rudy's. The park is a nice venue for this event, Even though there were a lot of people, There is still enough space not to be crowded, The music was good. Some of the lines were longer then others, The medium sized line i waited in at Rudy's took about 10 minutes to get through.. I hope the event is a success, It will make for a nice mid-week outing.

I'm glad to hear this event will continue throughout the year. I'm much more likely to get out for something like this when the temps drop.

BC, the food truck industry has dramatically changed in the last several years. It is quite the thing and many are offering gourmet and specialty foods.

I got a note from one of the organizers saying, "Thank you very much for all the great feedback and the great social media help. I had several people tell me last night they found out about the event through your site.

Last night went great.  I estimate between 1,600-1,800 people at the first event, so that was very cool!

I am stoked that we got such a good reception.

It's worth the trip, Although a little pricey @ $16.00, But still worth splurging on.

The Folsom Rodeo Cross (bike) Race Series is on Wednesday nights between Rodeo Arena and the Park, so I'm sure spectators and racers headed out for some grub as well. The food is so good. I'm glad they had a great debut night.

I loved the event and the location.  However, I thought the bike race was the one bad thing.  A lot of parking was consumed by that event and they kicked up a lot of dust, especially if you were hanging out with kids over by the playground.  I was hoping the race was a one-time conflict, but I guess not.
