I visit folsomweather.com everyday. I love that it an accurate representation of the temp at my house since Jason's weather station in less than a mile from my house. I loved checking today's temp compared to yesterday's. The forecast is pretty darned good. love the ten year's worth of weather data.

A couple of days ago I noticed that the temperature had stopped changing. Obviously something was broken and I was looking forward to its repair. Looking at the site today showed that I was correct in that something broke, the thermometer after ten years. But it also told me this:

"Update: It appears that after 10 years, the thermometer has sent its last measurement. This is not bad timing actually. Our family is moving into a newer house up the hill in Cameron Park and so, it was inevitable that we'd have to stop reporting the Folsom weather conditions. Once settled in, I'll have a new website set up, but it'll be for Cameron Park, of course. I'm going to keep Folsom Weather running until right before the move. Thanks for the good times and weather! Jason"

So sad to hear this. Wish you the best Jason!

cw68,

I came here to post the same thing, but you beat me to it. I even had www.folsomweather.com set as my homepage! WAAAHHHH!!!

I might have to purchase my own little weather tracking system in order to get my fix . . .

Best wishes to Jason.

I too will be sad to see him go. But I will offer my thanks for the years of great service (even if the camera often had no view...hehe).

I am very glad to see that- One thing I use most on Folsomweather.com is the history. I often use to to compare year to year by month for rainfall and temps. Cant get that on the other sites.

Here's hoping it will stay up for a long time...
