The Dumpster dumps DACA

Trump ends DACA

http://www.cnn.com/2...ress/index.html

The Department of Homeland Security will stop processing any new applications for the program as of Tuesday and rescinded the Obama administration policy, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals.

"I am here today to announce that the program known as DACA that was effectuated under the Obama administration is being rescinded," Attorney General Jeff Sessions said Tuesday at the Justice Department.

This will rip apart families.
Obama responded:

Barack starts by acknowledging immigration can be a controversial topic, but says ultimately there should be no threat to the future of "young people who are here through no fault of their own, who pose no threat, who are not taking away anything from the rest of us.”

Thank God Trump ended this nonsense. Besides, Obama got it started with an illegal Executive Order without an OK from Congress. Obama thought he was God, when in effect he was a divisive, highly partisan, pandering moron. And YOU people voted for him twice. Connect the dots. Oh, and even Democrat Dianne Feinstein said, "DACA is on shaky legal ground". Shove that somewhere, chumps. Article below.

2 Arses, you can take Breitbart and shove it where the sun don't shine.  Breitbart is worse than 'Fake News'.  It is NO NEWS and falsehoods all the time.

Sorry Vinny, logic and facts don't work with this group!

Hmmm, "logically" the last President shouldn't have committed an unconstitutional act by arbitrarily creating a law that he argued against during his term..Presidents are not allowed to make law. That is the job of Congress.  Trump (hate him or love him) is absolutely right to end this and throw the onus on Congress to either make it law, or get rid of it permanently.

SO here are the "facts" for our emotional friends.

DACA grew out of the proposed DREAM Act authored by R-Hatch in 2001 who later voted against it in 2007 when it was part of a larger immigration bill. It failed to pass.

It was voted on again in 2010. It failed to pass.

In 2012, Obama decided he would ignore Congress, and enact DACA through executive order

26 states sued the feds, and got a US District judge to issue an injunction stopping it.

The administration ignored the injunction and continued to give out work permits to "dreamers."

An appeals court affirmed the (District Court Judge's)  ruling and added a broader one, saying that the program also exceeded Mr. Obama’s statutory authority.

In US v. Texas, The Supreme Court was split which resulted in an affirmation of the appeals court ruling.

Now Trump has gotten rid of the unconstitutional act by Obama and put the pressure where it belongs; on Congress.

This should be really interesting to watch as neither the Dems nor the Reps want to do anything of substance about illegal immigration.  Look for the Dems to moan about whatever does pass, look for half the Reps to blather about "doing what's right" and the other half rant about their RINO colleagues.  In the end, the ball-less Reps will worry that they will look bad for enforcing the existing immigration laws, and they will offer a watered down "New Dream" Act. The only people getting screwed will be legal immigrants and taxpayers.

Maybe y'all need to start posting some logic or facts before calling out those with an opinion that differs from your own.

Joe is correct. America elected Trump, in a landslide, to end illegal immigration and to end stupid crap like DACA. Thank God for Trump!! :beverage:

Ha ha. OP still takes Obummer's comments at face value. Even after 8 years. Even after all the post term revelations. Once deluded, always deluded?

Just FYI: the majority of the nation has relegated that person to his appropriate irrelevance.

Yup. The Dems, who have morphed into radical Leftists over the last 8 years, have done a great job of *brainwashing* their little sheep.

I think many have learned much from eight years of Obama rule. It's the same kind of rule we see happening today in California. Telling us we are "haters" and "mean spirited" isn't working anymore.  So the new tactic is violence. Well...that's not going to work either.

Getting an eight year dose of Obama, I'd say the "Gig" is up. Mainly because the Democrats keep educating us about what direction they want America to go....and most Americans are not on board with that.

Just saying.....

Another interesting fact to throw into the hopper - There are 50 companies in Calif employing about 3800 people where the CEO is a "dreamer".  If they get deported, most of these companies will suffer in some way.  Passing the responsibility over to Congress demonstrates a degree of naivete or cowardice, not sure which.  As we all know, Congress can't even agree on which toppings to put on the pizza they've ordered for their all-nighters.   But dysfunction is becoming the norm, much to our detriment.

Former immigration official says the *DACA fraud rate* is a staggering 40-50%. Article below. Let's just call it "Democrat's Action for Criminal Aliens". Bunch of scum.
