It is bittersweet news for me to announce that I have sold MyFolsom.com. After 13 years, I had made the decision that I need to move on to persue other ventures and focus on new things! It's hard to say goodbye to an online community which I founded, however it was time to pass the torch. I will still be around (I am not moving out of Folsom), but I felt the site needed some new blood to re-energize the site and community!

I am happy to say that there is no man better suited for this job than Steve Heard. Steve is a good friend of mine and trusted administrator. Most of you are likely already familiar with Steve, as he has been an administrator for quite a few years. I am excited to see what changes Steve has in store for the site.

So long for now,
John Gladding
Founder, MyFolsom.com

Darn! I can't tell if that's good or bad news? We'll miss your ownership but I can't think of anyone better for the job than Steve!

John, you have done one HELL of a job. Funny how 13 years just flies by. Thanks for everything you have done for all of us, and

for the city of Folsom.

I am sure that Steve will do a good job too.

Thanks again, John, for everything.

Wow, I didn't even know these things could be bought and sold. Well, John, you did one heck of a great job building this forum up. I hope I get to see other projects that you decide to work on. Take care, and give us a holler now and again.

We will miss you.  I didn't realize it had been 13 years.   Dang, I got old!  Congratulations to both you and Steve.

We are still in Spokane Valley, WA  -  and I miss Folsom!   I don't miss the traffic though.

It certainly was a good run John. MyFolsom really helped me to feel connected to our community, especially when we were still new to the area. Lots of good memories.  Congrats to Steve for taking the reins. Steve you've always got my support if I can help out, just let me know.

Thanks for the kind words and good wishes. I've got big shoes to fill. Don't plan on making any huge changes right now, but will hopefully put my own stamp on it over time. I want to preserve the spirit of the site while making it even more valuable to the community.

I'll may need your help and ideas.

That was unexpected.  Thanks for hosting all these years.  I'm interested to see where Steve takes it.
