Sutter Street Grill, an Historic District institution, known for hearty breakfasts, friendly service and reasonable prices has shut its doors.

Several weeks ago they had posted on Facebook that they were shutting for hopefully, 2 weeks.

Yesterday, this:

Hello FB family...
So we just wanted to reach out and let you all know officially that we have decided to
CLOSE PERMANENTLY. ..
The decision was made with heavy heart.
We want to thank our customers(family) for all of your support for all these years. We have made so many memories with you.
Your waitresses, bussers, and cooks will miss you all so very much.
Please be safe and support you local businesses.

Very sad, but only the first of many I'm afraid...
