Hello,

We are new to Folsom and will probably be located in the Historic District.

I am looking for parents of students at Theodore Judah Elementary to give me their opinions/thoughts/experiences with the school.

You can find STAR testing results online.  In years past, Theodore Judah significantly underperformed other elementary schools in Folsom.  Not sure if that's still the case.  I believe historically the reasons are that it is located in a less affluent area and tends to get more transient families. 

 

Recently the school district put a magnet GATE program in Theodore Judah, so that should attract some very bright kids to the school.  So, it may be quite improved now over years past. 

 

That's the extent of my knowledge.  Hopefully someone with firsthand knowledge will contribute.

They put the GATE program there to keep the school open due to declining enrollment.
