I wonder what will happen with the building if Circuit City goes bankrupt before or shortly after the new store opens?

Becasue there was a .75 acre lot available and they thought they could "squeeze" it in so why the hell not?

Circuit City sucks - it'd be a waste to put one here, we don't need 'em because we already have Best Buy and Costco that offer better products, prices and service the CC ever will

Isnt Toys R Us the toy store by Sunrise with the empty parking lots. I can't recall the last time we shopped there. Same with CC for that matter so you hit the nail on the head.

Not to support CC, but Best Buy is has not been what I consider the benchmark of products, prices, or service. Am I missing something? I see limited selection, MSRP like prices, and technically limited sales staff.
I have purchased from both in the past year, however got more from CC than BB due to product selection and price advantages.
Costco does have some decent flat panel options.

I like competition. I hope both can survive and thrive while giving good value to their customers.

the biggest competition all these stores have in common, is the internet. I get most of my gear online or at Costco

The only reason to have these sort of stores is for little things or an occasional video game or something like that. Huge mistake if you are spending thousands there.

I've gotten some good deals at CC and Best Buy via online (only) sales and discounts that they offer, and then use in-store pickup. Those websites essentially have to compete with other online retailers, and once in awhile they offer the same price, but without the cost of shipping, and you still get immediate store pickup. Definitely better than Costco sometimes.

The items I bought from CC are still much cheaper than found on Pricewatch today...
Sometimes sales can have good value.

However I do like pricewatch. smile.gif

Doesn't CC have a policy to meet or beat the best price on the same thing? They used to allow you to bring in an ad for same item at lower price and they'd promise to match or beat it.
