I'm fuzzy about this one, but I think I remember that homosexual men are less likely to get HIV when they are circumcised.

The virus doesn't care if the person is circumcised or not. It's about the mixing of body fluids, not how much skin you have.

However, it is slightly more difficult (but it's not a 100% won't happen) for the pitcher to get anything from the catcher.

I have two sons and they did not get circumsized... I won't tell you my situation... if you want to PM ladies... I'll bring you up to speed...

However....

I think it's a barbaric procedure.. I saw on 20/20 years and years ago a baby going through this with no pain killers of any kind...

when our oldest son was born, my ex wife and I had already decided back in 1981 that we weren't going to let them mutilate our boys...

Dr. Dean Edele who I think still does a lot of radio on KGO out of the Bay Area had several shows on this subject right before our son was born... and since then his position has been born out... It's not needed... but it is still contoversial....

So what.. I wouldn't want my kids to go through that... and by the way... we had a pediatrician at Kaiser that used to do this on kids and there was one kid where he "oops"... went a little too far... what an outrage that would be for a man to not have the same sensations those of us have that are " normal"....

Poppycock! Although I am sure we can all find articles that support our positions, either way, I think this one is correct:

This sounds a bit like the whole coffee debate. Is it good for you? Is is bad for you? From what you posted, it sounds like it from the 1999 study from the AAP. Take a look the the article below, from 2006. This is more in line with what our pediatrician told us just 3 1/2 years ago.

Take a look at this article. http://www.usatoday....umcisions_x.htm

To me it is just common sense that you will be cleaner and have fewer bacteria and/or viruses when circumcised. The New Zealand study backs that up. Maybe we need a new survey - "I'm not circumcised and I have an STD" - "I'm clean"

FYI, they do numb the area. I can't remember the details, but it's not like in the old days. However, they do feel something b'cuz my son was crying pretty hard. sad.gif

While I admit I like a "hatless head' in appearance...

Foreskin rules! The versatility is awesome. Can be used 'head in' or 'head out' (turtleneck effect), to match your mood. And that whole hygiene thing is crap, it should be washed thoroughly everyday foreskin or not. rolleyes.gif
