okay, checked it out.  apparently for $35 women can go in and get their hair washed and then styled with blow drying and brushes.  No hair cut involved.  Just blow drying.  Wow.

 

Sounds like a car wash for hair.  Work and work... Work and work...

I could see if you were going to be in a wedding or for some really important event, but it would have to be pretty important.  I forgot to mention they also do extensions for $400!  so if you don't have time to grow your own hair.......

 

well, its a business model.  let's see if it works here.  more power to them.

This has been popular in celebrity circles for a couple of years. Sounds like getting your hair fixed like my grandmother used to do, modern style. I have heard that this type of blow dry is quite damaging to the hair. It will be interesting to see how popular it is & how long they last. Maybe there really is a market for those services.

Funny, I'm just getting ready to head over to Chocolate Architect on Madison and Kenneth to pick up some of their chocolate silk fudge for hubby's b-day.

Doubt I'll get over to the Palladio location when that opens, unless they close their original site.

Has anyone noticed the new artwork at the Palladio? the orange bikes. I was walking around tonight with a friend, and we thought there was a new art exhibit...random placement of orange painted mountain bikes. Turns out they are promo's for orangetheory fitness http://www.orangetheoryfitness.com/

 

Kind of a fun & cool idea. BTW, they don't roll. Tried that.

Orange Theory has moved across the street between Massage Heights & the luggage place. The space looks even narrower than the original location. Maybe it's bigger in the back. I think they are opening one in EDH too, as I saw those useless orange bikes along the side of White Rock Rd/hill a few weeks ago.

 

Now open: PINK/Victoria Secrets, Jos A Bank, Soma & Chico's

 

It seems like there is still lots of available spaces. The whole bank of buildings near Red Robin (bldg 300 & 350) & over by Sports Authority (bldg 420).

Ruths was planned to go in before it was ever completed but backed out when the economy took a dump around that time.

Does anyone have any insight into an "accurate" occupancy rate at the Palladio.  While it seems like a lot of new shops are opening there still looks to be a lot of empty spaces.
