Burger Hut has returned to EDH and is located at Green Valley and Francisco Drive in the plaza where Cascada is. We got take out on opening day this past weekend and it was delicious!

ok everyone, since there are so many burger joints in the area, how do they compare?

Why is Burger Hut better than I&O, the Habit, Bugerocity, Smash, Nations, Relish, etc, etc?

let's have some detailed reviews!

I don't eat much red meat, even at home, but when I do I like a burger that is char grilled with a thin patty so the bun and extras are pretty important to the taste for me.  I tried Relish Burger a couple of times after they opened but there was too much meat in their burgers for me and buns just fell apart before you could finish...I was disappointed that they didn't have many other options for people who were not into red meat...maybe their menu has changed since then but I haven't been back.  I have tried Habit three times and have had great burgers there and their chicken sandwich is great too!  Naturally eating in rather than taking it home improves your chances of a hot, non-soggy experience...I love that they put pickles on their burgers and don't charge for ranch or BBQ sauce...customer service was top notch!  Have to admit I don't order burgers at other restaurants we go to that aren't burger specialists and I have never tried Burgerocity, Smash or Nation's.  In & Out is always a good choice...just wish burger patty was char grilled!

Interesting. I really appreciate your assessment. My friend was telling me about Burger Hut today. Apparently it originated in Chico, were she is from. She had a really hard time explaining why the burger was so great, other than the Chico factor. She finally mentioned char-broiled and all the toppings. These things are exactly (& the things you mentioned) are reasons I'd never prefer a burger like this. I love the flavored taste of good beef, and I want a 6-8 oz burger, not a mere taste. :) I like the naked burgers at Relish. I don't care much for the bun, and actually prefer that it's not tasty, so I'm not tempted. Lol. I'm eating limited bread products and Ive never seen a whole wheat bun option, anywhere, so I have to pass. Love the Relish Kobe burger. They do have other, non-red meat, options.

Good thing there are so many different options so we all have something we like.

I don't like just any old burger so I call myself a picky burger eater.

Habit burgers are good, but they only offer Swiss or American cheese, no cheddar so I only go there for band fundraisers like the other week because I want cheddar, Brie or blue cheese in my burgers (Brie with grilled mushrooms, blue cheese with bacon and cheddar for a cheeseburger - I can't stand American cheese food).

I have found Burgerocity burgers to be really, really dry (tried twice).

In and Out is a great fast food burger.

Smash Burger burgers are my favorite. Juicy, not too thin and not too thick, lots of topping options.

I usually just get a protein burger because I like the crunchiness of being wrapped in lettuce, so can't comment on the buns.

my taste is apparently not in my mouth because I still think the Carls Jr. Star is the best burger around.

I have found that the best burgers in town are mine.

Not that Im tooting my own horn or whatever.

I just like em grilled with the yummers i put on 'em, and i like them still steaming hot and juices burning the web between my fingers as i much on a full figured sandwich with all the goods thrown in.

hmmm- maybe i am tooting  a wee bit  :)

Never heard of Burger Hut, where are they located?

My current burger favorite is at Sam Horne's.

(Anyone remember myfolsom's best burger eval tour about 6 or 7 years ago?)

The PB and bacon burger there is among the best edible things available in Folsom

Has anyone checked out Hop House in EDH Town Center?

I'd say both their Truffle Burger and Cheeseburger are up there on the list.  I love Sam Hornes too.  Give me a Johnny Cash anyday.
