I love Xfinity. I have had it forever and will never go to Dish.

Haven't had Dish but have had Comcast for internet for years. Fast and stable. After 10 years of Direct tv I switched to the Xfinity X1 with the voice control remote. Love it. Picture quality is much better than Direct. Won't go back.

People love to hate Comcast and many may have good reason. I have had them for a long, long time in 2 different houses and it's been the best. I go to friend's house and see Dish or Direct TV and it's looks awful from the menus to the picture locking up when a cloud rolls in. Plus you cannot beat the internet speeds and stability.
Cost may be more but your frustration level will probably be way. way lower.

I have Comcast for internet, Directv for tv.
Thinking of switching to Comast/Xfinity for everything. Dish has terrible service, and the bill is a moving target.

Unless something has changed recently, Comcast ("Xfinity") delights in nickel and diming its customers. In my own experience, if you have more than one TV, it's to your advantage to buy a Tivo and use it with the service.
Once you add up the DVR rental, the HD service fees, and additional outlet fees, if you have more than one TV you're at a disadvantage.
A Tivo with Tivo mini boxes for additional TVs quickly pay for themselves.

Consider cutting the cord and don't use any of them.
We moved here last Oct. We got the prices from Xfininty, Dish, and Direct. Then I went and bought a rape kit.
It's outrageous what they charge. They lure you in with low "introductory" prices, then get you hooked, then start raising the numbers on your bill. And once you're paying top dollar, they torture you by sending cards in the mail with their "introductory" prices, so you can see exactly how badly they're screwing you (I think they do it on purpose). Then when you cancel and call the next day to get the better pricing, they tell you "Oh, you're an old customer and we won't start your service again for 120 days". We went thru this BS in Denver. I'm fairly certain all the cable companies are colluding to fix prices. Illegal, but the cable companies are paying lobbyists $millions a year to make sure there's never a investigation or prosecution.
So we don't use any of them. For internet, we use ATT U-verse ($39/mo). With a smart TV you can get tons of content for free by streaming - older movies, TV shows, etc. For new stuff, we subscribe to Amazon Prime ($8.25/mo), Hulu ($3.33/mo) and HBO ($3.33/mo). We get this price because Hulu and HBO allow you to connect up to 3 separate devices for a single account, which is $10/mo, and we share the costs with our two (grown) kids who live close by. And for local stations, I put up an OTA (over-the-air) antenna ($29 one-time) on the roof and we get 105 channels for FREE, including ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, and a ton of others. Our total monthly bill is now $53.91. When compared to the nearly $150/mo we paid for all the cable stuff in Denver, it was a no-brainer to cut the cord.

over the air for HDTV and xfinity 200mbps for internet only. $49.95 per month.
why give away $150+ per month for stuff most people will never watch/need/consume?
to each their own.

I agree with the cord cutting! I cut the cord almost 2 years ago and don't miss the high bills. Just have an antenna for broadcast channels, TIVO box for DVR, and Amazon Prime and Netflix. No monthly service fees for the TIVO box.

we run a Channel Master DVR+ with a 2TB usb hdd. with amazon prime, a firestick and the internet, we don't miss anything and get pretty much what we want to watch.
and i don't fret receiving my bill each month. saved over $2,800 to date cutting the cord. total cost of making the switch was less than $600. ROI was 6 months.

Had Dish and it was ok. Had Xfinity and it was ok too but both cost more then either was worth.
Think about how many channels you really watch on a regular basis, then.....
