We were coming back from camping on Sunday, going south on Folsom blvd by Blue Ravine and saw a guy riding with a woman on a smaller bike following. He kept an eye on her in his rvm. She was wearing a pink helmet. I was thinking that it was probably Supermom on a test drive. Guess not.

LOL--I really wouldn't care what color the helmet is--as long as it protects my melon. biggrin.gif

I want a 250 ninja... If you can't tell by now, I really like small bikes. No better feeling than passing a liter bike in the twisty's on a 250.

My husband is really enjoying his blue and orange Ninja. He had a Yamaha VStar 650 a few years ago and said this bike is a lot more fun and plenty fast. It's light and nimble. Part of the reason he got the VStar was that I could straddle it. One idea was that when he outgrew that bike and wanted a more powerful one, I'd take it and he'd move up. However, I could tell that just sitting in the driveway that that bike was way too heavy for me to feel comfortable on. This one's a different story. I could actually see riding it myself. Ninja's are cheap, too.

They did a refresh on the little Ninja this year, it no longer looks like the bike in Top Gun, but something current.

Price went up too but still you could buy three of them for the cost of a ZX-14. (And still have less horsepower but that's not the point!)

Maybe not completely a "chick bike" but I wouldn't want to haul my own, uh, ballast on it...
