Yay, I'm so excited!

A new Starbucks is coming to town about 750 ft from another Starbucks.

This means that I can grab a small coffee at one Starbucks and powerwalk to the next Starbucks without even breaking a sweat or finishing my small coffee.

It will be taking over the old Willy's Burger building across from Lembi Park.

Operator error - insert more caffeine...

How many is that for Folsom now?

I remember Jay Leno saying a few years ago that they were running out of places to put Starbucks, and that the latest Starbucks to open, was inside of another Starbucks!

And yet they all seem to do well! Actually being close to the ball fields and pool could be a great idea and that old restaurant has been empty forever. If its a drive through, that's a winner!

So that's what is going in there.  They've been doing a lot of renovation work.  I wonder if they are just trading locations and moving the other store so they can now have a drive-thru as 4thgen says.

maybe after that little car accident last year they started thinking about drive-through in a different light.  :)

meh... It's jobs and revenue for the city.  While I wish something else was there, it's a space that has been empty for a good chunk of the last 10 years or so.  Starbucks is probably one of the few things that will succeed in that spot.

Devdave why hate? The old Willies and the old drive thru coffee in the same lot have been available for years for anyone to try a locally owned coffee place. No one wanted to try.

I'm not a huge Starbucks fan, but I think this is a good fit for the spot and I'm looking forward to having drive-thru coffee around. Definitely better than it staying vacant.

Maybe Mountain Mikes or Smash Burger will open in the old drive thru coffee spot.

If you want to get a rise out of your IT guy, show him your empty cup of joe and tell him (or her) that you've successfully installed Java.

It is definitely a good location.  The other building where Java Centrale used to be doesn't have that visible corner spot.  They will also get all those it's-much-too-early-to-be-awake swim meet parents from the Aquatic Center.

not to mention the "out of town here to see our kids play soccer all day long 100 miles from home" parents from the fields.

I was wondering what was going into that building, it's a nice location.

Now I can save 750 steps, because this new one will be even close to me then the other five.
